The Anderson House

History
Our studio is located in the historic Anderson House in the heart of Hyde Park. The Anderson House was built in 1901 and was added to the U.S. National Register of historical places in 1982. The house was built for James B. Anderson. It was deemed “significant” as one of the best examples of Colonial Revival style architecture in Tampa, Florida. The house’s asymmetrical design and wrap-around porch are Queen Anne style architecture in the United States. The Anderson House was once home to a women’s charity and was said to have housed a few of Princess Diana’s Gowns at one point in time. It is now a wedding venue and home to Adore Bridal Hair and Makeup Studio.
Trial Experience
Our trials provide a unique experience where you will be able to tour the Anderson House and enjoy a one on one consultation with your hair and makeup artist. We will pop some bubbly for you, while we make your inspiration pictures come to life. During your two hour trial, we are dedicated to sharing our experience and knowledge to help you find the best look for your wedding day. We are happy to pair your trial on the same day as an engagement shoot, final dress fitting, or bridal shower. We encourage friends and family members to attend and share this special memory. Please bring your veil and any hair accessories you may want implemented for your look. We recommend having a makeup free face and dry hair for styling. We look forward to hosting you!

Parking Instructions
Our parking lot is located in the back of the Anderson House off of Hyde Park Avenue. You will want to put 334 S Hyde Park Ave in your GPS.
This is NOT our address but is the address to the house right before our parking lot. Drive slowly and you will see the hidden driveway to our parking on your left, directly after 334 S. Hyde Park Ave.
The Anderson House is a three story red brick house. Please text or call 202-996-7690 when you arrive and we will let you in.
